The month of June can be a bouquet of color in your garden with the proper spring blooming perennials. Combining bright colors such as pinks and purples along with a backdrop of colorful evergreens in hues of blues and golds can really make the garden “pop”. Here are a few examples of combining warm with cool colors in the landscape.
Cool Colors: Purple (Salvia May Night), Blue (Weeping Blue Atlas Cedar)
Warm Colors: Caramel (Heuchera Caramel), Gold (Chamaecyparis Gold Mop)
Warm Color: Double Knock Out Rose (Red)
Cool Color: Blue (Siberian Iris)
Cool Colors: Lavender/Blue (Nepeta Walkers Low) Warm Colors: Red (Double Knock Out Rose)
Combining perennials and evergreens on opposite sides of the color wheel will help to create a balance for a landscape that offers dramatic curb appeal.
